Fortum to invest $246 million in waste heat projects in Finland

Finland's Fortum (FORTUM.HE) will invest about 225 million euros ($245.70 million) between 2023 and 2027 in two Finnish waste heat projects, the energy group said in a statement on Wednesday.

The investment includes building heat pump plants in Espoo and Kirkkonummi for waste heat recovery as well as about 15 kilometers of new or upgraded district heating main pipeline, the company added.

Of the project's total investment of 225 million euros, about 170 million was allocated for 2023-2025.
