Summary
The government of Bosnia and Herzegovina's Sarajevo Canton said on Friday it approved a project worth 50 million euro ($56.1 million) to upgrade the district heating system in the capital.
The project will encompass the installation of two heat pumps, construction of pipelines as well as the installation of components to improve the efficiency of the existing heating system, the canton's government said in a press release.
The canton plans to finance the project with a loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).
The Sarajevo Canton is one of ten cantons making up the Federation, one of two autonomous entities that form Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other entity is the Serb Republic.
