Summary
Just under £4m in funding from the Green Heat Network Fund (GHNF) will be provided to two local authorities to undertake separate low carbon projects.
Plymouth City Council has been awarded £1.2m through the scheme to extend an existing heat network, while £2.6m will be received by Cheshire East Council to start work on new district heating system.
Triple Point Heat Networks Investment Management, the organisation that oversees the GHNF, said Plymouth City Council intended to revamp its existing heat work that currently is connected to its Council House building and Guildhall.
