Ukraine, together with partners from the United States of America, will launch a project on energy sustainability of communities.
This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister for Restoration – Minister of Communities, Territories, and Infrastructure Development of Ukraine Oleksandr Kubrakov following a meeting with U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink and USAID Mission Director Theodora Dell, Ukrinform reports with reference to the Ministry of Restoration.
"Our task now is not only to ensure the successful heating season but also to implement complex solutions for the stable operation of the energy system in the coming years. We are working on three components: the use of already existing infrastructure for the development of small-scale distributed generation, the introduction of highly efficient cogeneration, and the gradual transition to renewable energy sources. At the same time, the restoration of the damaged infrastructure and the protection of energy facilities remain among the tasks. Together with experts from the United States of America, we are considering the best technical solutions," Kubrakov said.
