A significant investment of $335,000 from the Green Municipal Fund (GMF) is set to drive environmental progress in the City of Hamilton.
This funding will support two feasibility studies, both aimed at enhancing energy efficiency and reducing greenhouse gas emissions for a more sustainable future for Hamiltonians.
“This will help carve a pathway for Hamilton to achieve Canada’s net-zero emission goals by harvesting thermal energy,” said Filomena Tassi, Minister responsible for the Federal Economic Development Agency.
Hamilton Community Enterprises (HCE) will receive $175,000 to spearhead an exploration into the commercial and technical viability of a district energy system.
