Summary
Singapore’s SP Group is collaborating with Thailand’s Rangsit University (RSU) to facilitate a green transformation at RSU’s main campus in Mueang Pathum Thani District, Greater Bangkok. This partnership aims to turn the campus into a smart, low-carbon facility by deploying integrated and sustainable energy solutions. SP Group will implement solar photovoltaic (PV) panels, a centralised energy management and storage system, and its Green Energy Tech (GET) building intelligence system. The initiative, slated for completion in 2024, is expected to reduce RSU’s carbon emissions by 1,400 tonnes annually and green up to 21% of its total energy consumption.
The collaboration will extend to a feasibility study exploring additional integrated sustainable energy solutions across the campus. This study includes assessing the viability of a district cooling system for energy-efficient air-conditioning, expanding solar PV and energy storage systems deployment, and incorporating the GET building intelligence system further.
