Summary
A city-wide district heating project and methods for delivering heat pumps to high density and harder to decarbonise properties were among the initiatives honoured at the 2024 Energy Awards.
Some of the notable winners representing the HVAC included Vital Energi, which took home the Energy Project of the Year - Residential award for its work as part of the Leeds Pipes heat network project. The project aims to set a new benchmark for district heating in the UK.
The award was in recognition of the continued expansion of the project over the last six years, which will include an additional 392 homes being linked to the network from three blocks of high rise flats.
