Summary

The 95th mainline, laid in the 1960s, was disrupted after the outbreak of the full-scale war, making it impossible to supply heat through this mainline.

The State Enterprise “Kharkiv Heating Networks” replaced 475 meters of the 95th mainline with the support of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) and the European Union’s Directorate-General for Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid (ECHO).

Additionally, Kharkiv will receive energy equipment to restore a stable heating supply in the city. Forty-seven frequency converters have been delivered to the city with the support from UNICEF and the government of Croatia, and their installation is ongoing. Supplied converters will be used to maintain heating equipment, such as pumps, generators, and cogeneration units, operational. Such equipment is part of both centralized and decentralized heating systems Kharkiv city that are now being strengthened and diversified to ensure uninterrupted heating supply during the upcoming winter.

Cogeneration units and gas generators are to be delivered shortly to enhance the heat and electricity generation capacity at the facilities of “Kharkiv Heating Networks.”
