GE Vernova and Saudi Arabia’s Ash Sharqiyah Operations & Maintenance Company (ASHOMCo) have finished three preliminary engineering design (FEED) studies aimed at cutting carbon emissions from three Saudi Arabian cogeneration plants.
These studies evaluated the potential of pre- and post-combustion technologies to lower emissions from plants producing up to 920 megawatts of electricity and 1,400 tonnes of steam per hour.
The three cogeneration plants, powered by GE Vernova’s 7E and 7F gas turbines, underwent a hydrogen compatibility assessment.
