Summary
Starting this year, Tallinn is directing apartment association support funds towards activities that contribute to the sustainable renovation of apartment buildings and courtyards. The changes also simplify the application and processing of support grants. In total, the city will allocate over €2.4 million in support for apartment associations.
"The new measures focus on lowering energy costs for buildings and reducing their climate impact. That’s why we are prioritizing connections to district heating, upgrading heating substations, and introducing fuel-free heating solutions in areas without district heating. Additionally, we aim to simplify and accelerate the grant allocation process," said Tallinn Mayor Jevgeni Ossinovski. "As a new initiative, we will also start supporting the installation of elevators in apartment buildings."
