Danish consulting engineer Cowi yesterday opened its first office in Ireland as it tries to tap into the country’s €116bn Project Ireland 2040 infrastructure and development plan.
The company said it hopes to have 50 staff from Ireland, Denmark and other countries working in Dublin within three years.
It’s already working on a district heating project in Dublin.
“Project Ireland 2040 represents a transformative opportunity for sustainable infrastructure development across the country,” said David Feighery, Cowi’s head of Ireland.
