IDEA YPG Announces New Leadership Council

By District Energy posted 04-24-2025 07:27

IDEA and YPG Co-Chair, Grant Kircher of Thermo Systems are excited to share some changes to the IDEA YPG leadership team.

Chase Dube’s tenure as YPG Co-Chair is coming to a close. In our search for a successor, we’ve determined that Chase Dube's boots were simply too big for one person to fill, so we are excited to welcome two new leaders for YPG.

With that being said, we’re thrilled to announce that YPG is evolving from a two-person Co-Chair model to a three-person Leadership Council. This new structure is designed to support YPG’s continued growth by offering greater scalability and continuity, a more balanced distribution of responsibilities, and a broader leadership presence to better serve the group moving forward.

The Leadership Council will include current YPG Co-Chair, Grant Kircher, along with Matthew L’Heureux from the University of New Hampshire and Colin Jeffery from Kerr Wood Leidal. Matt and Colin each bring complementary strengths and fresh perspectives, and we're confident this team will play a key role in empowering the next generation of professionals.

Let’s welcome Matt and Colin into their new roles and look ahead to a strong and exciting future for YPG! Bios and headshots for both are included below.

As always, if you have any questions or are looking for ways to get more involved with YPG, don’t hesitate to reach out.

At Kerr Wood Leidal (KWL), Colin Jeffery is driven by a passion for building vibrant communities and a healthier planet. He is committed to advancing the YPG’s mission of fostering knowledge-sharing, leadership development, and innovation within the industry.

Outside of work, Colin embraces adventure with his wife and daughter—whether skiing in the mountains, kayaking rivers, or exploring the great outdoors together. He brings that same energy and curiosity to everything he does—including his work with IDEA.

Matt L'Heureux

As Campus Energy Manager at the University of New Hampshire, Matt serves as the lead advocate for energy conservation, decarbonization, and strategic energy management across the Durham campus.
