Summary
Koskisen Corporation's Mäntsäläntie and Tehdastie plant areas will be connected by a district heating pipe, which will be built by Loimua Oy, the heat production operator for Koskisen’s production plants in Järvelä, Finland. Sawmill production under the Sawn Timber Industry segment is located on Mäntsäläntie, while the Panel Industry segment's birch plywood and chipboard production is located on Tehdastie.
A district heating connection pipe with a length of approximately four kilometres will be built between the plant areas, along with the necessary connections and modifications to the existing heat and power plants. The construction of the connecting pipe will start in summer 2025 and it will be in production use in early spring 2026. The investment in the district heating connection pipe will be made by Loimua.
