Floral Energy is developing microgrid solutions for services such as data centres and EV charging hubs, where today’s grids are struggling to keep up with demand. Floral’s microgrids will use combinations of thermal generation, renewables, grid electricity and battery storage to provide localised industrial-scale power, optimised with digital twins and machine learning. The company said its systems will also be compatible with future nuclear generation, including small modular reactors (SMRs) and nuclear fusion.
