Radisson Hotel Group has marked a major sustainability milestone with the launch of its first two Verified Net Zero hotels, Radisson Hotel Manchester City Centre and Radisson RED Oslo City Centre. These pioneering properties meet the 2040 targets of the Net Zero Methodology for Hotels and have been third-party verified by TÜV Rheinland.
The Verified Net Zero programme addresses carbon emissions across energy use (Scopes 1 & 2) and the wider supply chain (Scope 3), aligning with the GHG Protocol. Both properties now operate on 100 per cent renewable energy, eliminating fossil fuels in heating, cooling, and kitchen operations. The Manchester hotel, for example, uses heat pumps and induction cooking, while Oslo benefits from the city’s renewable district heating.
