Summary
The Norwegian government has approved the second phase of the Northern Lights carbon capture project, a joint venture between TotalEnergies, Equinor, and Shell that’s being developed in Øygarden, Norway.
Additionally, the project will transport and store CO2 from Norwegian emitters Hafslund Celsio, a district heating supplier in Oslo, and Heidelberg Materials, a building materials firm in Brevik, as part of the government-supported Longship project.
