Trelleborg, Sweden’s southernmost municipality, is on a mission to boost economic activity while meeting decarbonisation goals.
Trelleborg also aims to combine low-temperature district heating with storage in hydrogen to create resilient, off-grid energy solutions for new neighbourhoods. According to Sahlin, this will enable energy independence for up to seven days in case of emergencies like natural disasters or conflicts.
