Summary
WSP in Canada (WSP) will provide engineering and technical services for Enwave Energy Corporation’s (Enwave) waste processing facility in Prince Edward Island.
Replacing the current system, which is reaching the end of its serviceable life, the new, expanded facility will help address the need for innovative sustainable waste solutions for the province.
The expansion of the waste processing facility will nearly double the capacity of the existing system. It is expected that the facility will help divert up to 49,000 tonnes of municipal solid waste from landfill facilities each year, creating GHG savings of up to 908,000 tonnes of CO2e by 2052. This is the equivalent of taking 278,000 cars off the road.
