Germany’s federal state of Saxony is offering about EUR 85 million (USD 98.7m) to support projects for district heating supply using renewable energy.
Funding applications will be accepted by November 7, 2025, the state's energy ministry said.
The funding call is open to projects for the generation of district heating or cooling, using different technologies and heat sources. The electricity supply needed for greenhouse gas-neutral production of district heating is also covered by the call.
