German energy supplier Badenova is selling two biogas and power plants with a combined annual production of up to 72 GWh to local firm Avrio Energie to focus on its core business.
The two facilities will be sold via subsidiary badenovaWAERMEPLUS. The move will allow Badenova to further increase investments in its core areas of wind power, photovoltaics, geothermal energy, and green district heating.
After the transfer, Badenova will continue to use the biomethane produced in the plants to supply its combined heat and power units and district heating customers.
