At GP JOULE's headquarters in Reußenköge, North Frisia, Chancellor Friedrich Merz, together with Minister-President Daniel Günther and other state ministers, experienced how an independent, sustainable and affordable energy supply is already possible today – and what role new energies play as an economic and security factor for the country, the federal government and Europe.
The politicians were able to experience firsthand what local, sustainable value creation already looks like in practice and what important jobs the future-oriented renewable energy sector offers: A tour of the company premises began at the biogas plant. The flexible plant can be ramped up or down as needed to compensate for fluctuations in wind and solar energy. Together with the connected combined heat and power plant, it serves as a "gap filler" for the electricity supply and simultaneously provides the site and other properties with sustainable heat.
