When Allegheny Health Network partnered with Cordia to support the energy system serving its 160-bed facility, the organization gained the ability to redirect capital previously earmarked for boiler replacements, chiller upgrades and maintenance toward patient care initiatives.

Today, Cordia owns and operates the facility’s complete energy infrastructure, including four dual-fuel steam boilers, approximately 2,200 tons of cooling capacity, and 3.75 megawatts of power generation and emergency backup. The dual-fuel capability enhances resilience during supply disruptions, while combined heat and power generation improves overall efficiency and cost control.
