More than 150 homes on the Tustin Estate have been finished, as the developer announced that it has signed the contract to build more than 200 more in the next phase.
The Tustin Estate on the Old Kent Road is being redeveloped over a number of years and by the time it is finished, there will be 690 new homes in its place.
The new blocks are connected to the South East London Combined Heat and Power (SELCHP) district heating network, which means they no longer need to rely on gas and should have lower and more stable bills, the council said.
