From rural towns to urban neighborhoods, nearly 100 projects are moving forward with support from a $60.3 million investment by the Washington State Department of Commerce. Spanning 32 counties, these projects are designed to cut greenhouse gas emissions, lower energy costs for residents and strengthen the reliability of local power systems.
Commerce awarded $4.9 million through the Thermal Energy Networks Pilot Program to support three utility-owned district energy systems.
