Arup has appointed John Ammentorp as its new Global Energy Leader as it pursues ambitious plans to grow its global energy business and support clients navigating the energy transition.
Throughout his career, John has led teams delivering power transmission, distribution and district energy projects across Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Germany, the United Kingdom and the United States, and spearheaded his previous firm's global energy innovation and digitalisation strategy. He holds a BSc in Electrical Engineering from the Engineering College of Copenhagen.
John Ammentorp, Arup’s new Global Energy Leader, said: “The energy transition is the defining infrastructure challenge of our generation, and it demands the kind of multidisciplinary thinking and technical excellence that Arup is known for.
