Held annually on July 15, World Youth Skills Day recognises the importance of equipping young people with skills for employment, decent work and entrepreneurship.
Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation (Empower) and Emirates Water and Electricity Company (EWEC) both highlighted the importance of equipping young people with the skills needed to contribute to sustainable development, innovation and the UAE’s long-term economic diversification.
HE Ahmad Bin Shafar, CEO of Empower, said young people would play a decisive role in shaping the future of critical sectors including energy, sustainability and advanced technologies.
“Empower firmly believes in the pivotal role of youth in shaping the future and the importance of equipping them with the knowledge and skills needed to contribute actively to sustainable development,” Bin Shafar said.
