Summary
The University of Michigan showed off its new central campus housing project - dubbed Wolverine Village - this week, just days before thousands of students are scheduled to move in.
All five buildings feature fully electric facilities with no gas-fired equipment, including the dining hall. The heating and cooling systems utilize a geo-exchange system with underground piping running through the central courtyard, and three of the buildings feature rooftop solar panels.
