Special Pre-operational and Post-operational Actions Needed for New Large Closed Loop Systems will be presented jointly by Chem-Aqua and PurgeRite and is intended for anyone involved with the design, construction, commissioning and operation of large closed loop chilled to hot water systems.

Topics discussed include:

  • The need for flushing, including what velocities are necessary.
  • The proper chemistries for cleaning, disinfection and passivation.
  • Required testing and monitoring activities.
  • The best practice time lines to follow and what types of disruptions might necessitate a remedial flushing/cleaning/passivation/disinfection regimen.
  • Tips on what to do if you have “lay-up” the system or otherwise delay bringing the system on-line for an extended period after the flushing/cleaning/passivation process.
