Design Considerations for Insulating District Energy Systems - An Insights and Innovations Webinar

When:  Jun 9, 2021 from 13:00 to 14:00 (ET)

Sponsored by Owens Corning FOAMGLAS

Alec Cusick, Technical Services Engineer for Owens Corning, will outline the key considerations for District/Campus Energy insulation systems.  Piping and equipment in these scenarios may be direct buried, in trenches, vaults or tunnels. The success of underground systems that carry steam, hot water and chilled water depends highly upon proper insulation system selection, design, and installation.  Insulation systems must be capable of meeting the mechanical and moisture risks of these locations, along with providing long-term insulation efficiency.  Alec will also describe the key characteristics to look for in an insulating material, as well as the importance of proper accessories such as jacketings, coatings, and sealants.
