On September 8, 2020, the Microgrid Resources Coalition submitted a letter of protest of Pacific Gas & Electric Company's Advice Letter 5918-E. MRC protested the advice letter on the grounds that the relief requested in the Advice Letter is inappropriate for the advice letter process.
PG&E's tariff (as outlined in their Advice Letter) attempts to preempt issues properly before the Commission as required by SB1339. Allowing one utility to unilaterally create its own microgrid tariff through an Advice Letter with no context is a violation of the statute.
The MRC requested that the Commission reject PG&E's Advice Letter.
