IDEA is publishing a daily blog to help you navigate IDEA2023, Each day, we will provide a summary of highlights for the day (and get you prepared for the next day). 

The first section of this blog highlights key details you'll need throughout the conference, and will be followed with details you need to know for each day. 

Included below is information that will be useful to you throughout the conference, including registration hours, instructions on downloading the Event App, Virtual Learning Platform (for virtual attendees), Wifi info, shuttle info and more.

IDEA2023 Registration Hours and Location

IDEA Registration is located at 8th Street Registration, located on the Lobby Level of the Hilton Chicago. Please visit as soon as you can to get your badge and registration materials for the conference. 

Registration hours are shown below, all at Central Time:


Sunday: 3:00pm-5:00pm
Monday: 7:00am-7:00pm
Tuesday: 7:00am-6:30pm
Wednesday: 7:00am-5:00pm

Download the IDEA2023 Event App

If you haven't downloaded the IDEA2023 app, please do so ASAP. The IDEA2023 app is your go-to resource for everything you'll need to succeed onsite.
The instructions to download are included below:
  • Download the Cvent Events app in the App Store or Google Play Store.
  • In the app, search for "IDEA2023: Empowering the Next Generation" and hit the download icon.
  • Enter your first name, last name, and email you registered with for the conference.
  • You will then receive a verification code to your email and/or cell phone. Type it into the app and log in!

Once downloaded, you will have full access to view the daily schedule, view session slides, view the exhibitor list, learn about the speakers, network and connect with attendees, win prizes with the IDEA2023 game and more.

Attendee Hub Virtual Platform

Attendee Hub is our virtual learning platform, where virtual attendees can access sessions throughout the conference. It also includes a Virtual Exhibit Hall and a portal to connect with anyone registered for the conference, whether they are in person or virtual.

Post-conference, Attendee Hub will be used by both in-person and virtual attendees to view session recordings and slides of most main program and poster presentations. These recordings will be available 90 days after the conference ends, so you can catch up on any sessions you missed!

NEA/EPRI Survey

The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) Nuclear Energy Agency (NEA) and EPRI are working together to understand the potential role nuclear energy may have in district energy applications.
To understand these demand-side and policy drivers along with necessary technical requirements, NEA and EPRI are conducting a survey to gain additional insight that will serve as input to an 2023 international policy brief. To learn more about this initiative or take the survey, click here.

IDEA2023 Blog: Wednesday, June 7

Just a few quick but very important reminders for IDEA2023 as we head into the final day of the Main Conference Program. Please note, all times listed are Central Time.

 

The IDEA Registration Desk, located in at 8th Street Registration in the Lobby Level, opens at 7:00am CDT.

From breakfast in the Exhibit Hall, to 48 sessions, 15 posters to visit, IDEA Annual Business Meeting & Recognition Lunch, and many breaks in the exhibit hall (with coffee, dessert, and refreshments - and raffle drawings), you're gonna have a full day of learning and connecting with colleagues.

If you're speaking or moderating Wednesday, please make sure to join us at 7:15am sharp for the Speaker/Moderator Orientation Breakfast in Stevens Salon A-5. And if you haven't downloaded the mobile app, make sure you do.

The Main Conference Program ends at 5:00pm today. If you're traveling back today or tomorrow, we wish you safe travels to your next destination.

If you are pre-registered to attend one of the two tech tours on Thursday, we will see you at 7:45am for the Breakfast Briefing and Pre-Tour Overview Presentation, followed by tours leaving promptly at 9:15am. Please arrive for breakfast so we can check you in!
