Mr. Tracy Guhin, MBA, currently serves as the Sales Manager at VARI-TECH LLC. With 20+ years of sales, training, promoting and engineering projects utilizing products that feature thermoplastic systems he can be called on to review and support specific projects.Our interest in joining the IDEA association is to connect with industry professionals who are interested in using High Temperature HDPE pipe (PE-RT). We have found strong interest in this product based on our continued promotion of its qualities. High temperature at elevated pressures allow PE-RT in applications that traditionally were not in the typical parameters for standard HDPE. Its use in district heating projects including hot and chilled water applications (Harvard, Tufts and Clarkson) along with various industrial uses including those at a Cargill De-Icing facility allow for new applications beyond conventional 4710 HDPE products. The avenues for utilizing this product are far reaching. We look forward to engaging with other professionals who find applications and projects that can be satisfied with this new product. In addition to training with various groups, I have worked on major environmental projects including Onondaga Lake remediation in Syracuse NY and NYS DEC brown- site cleanup projects utilizing 63" HDPE pipe with Spirolite HDPE manholes for completely leak free applications in Binghamton NY. Condensate applications and earthquake simulations at Cornell , Steam pipe projects at Syracuse University and potable water applications as far reaching as the Turks and Caicos Islands have proven to be successful utilizing our superior products. Our sample specifications can be seen at various Engineering firms creating solutions to many of today's environmental, civil and industrial issues. Organizational training along with conducting innovative forums has lead many to continually call on VARI-TECH and our superior team of technical individuals to assist and support on challenging applications in various engineering spheres.
