The ultimate goal of every HVAC installation is to provide the desired comfort at the lowest possible energy cost. In theory, this can be achieved using advance control technologies, but in practice, they don’t always perform as promised. The result is lower comfort level and higher energy cost. The controllers can only perform as specified if the following 3 key conditions are fulfilled.
- The design flow must be available at all terminals
- The differential pressure across control valves must not vary too much
- Primary Flow should be ≥ Secondary Flow
This presentation brings IMIs' expertise in the 3 key hydronic conditions and talks about issues like low dT, unstable controls and the cause as well as solutions to those problems.
