Summary

This presentation will summarize a district energy feasibility study for a potential mixed-use district in San Francisco. The team developed and assessed a variety of generation and distribution configurations for a district system serving new commercial, retail, residential and industrial development.

The presentation will cover the goal setting and technology filtering processes utilized, and describe the subsequent conceptual district system designs that were developed and compared against a non-district energy scheme. The presenters will also summarize the resulting business case for district energy at the site.
