09-13-2017 15:15

Summary

This presentation discusses use of new type of multi-energy absorption chillers using CHP and renewables for campus cooling. Case studies include district cooling (CSU, Fullerton; UCF, Orlando), micro-grids (Fort Knox, KY), data centers (Univ. of Toledo, OH) and solar thermal based cooling (Pierce College & Crow Canyon Medical Center). The presentation also covers latest technological developments like triple effect absorption chillers using biomass (Thermax, India) and engine exhaust gas driven heat pump (Keya Knit Composite, Bangladesh).
