CHP and Heat Recovery: A Case Study

09-28-2023 10:33

Session Abstract

In pursuit of sustainability, combined heat and power and heat recovery offer a pathway for greater energy efficiency and reliability, with a measurable reduction of GHG emissions. Adoption of CHP and heat recovery represent a change in energy supply technology for a more efficient and sustainable future.  In this session a case study will be presented about a European pulp and paper manufacturer and its conversion to CHP. In addition to leaning about the outcomes of significantly lower reliance on fossil fuel, lower energy costs, reduced GHG emissions, and less water use, the installation process and other engineering technology applied will be discussed.
