Summary

The Master Plan examines the technical and economic feasibility for a modern sustainable district energy system based on waste heat recovery from a nearby MSW power plant and expansion of existing NRG Minneapolis district energy system to serve heating and cooling needs of approximately 3.2 million square feet of the mixed use existing and planned new building development in the North Loop neighborhood of downtown Minneapolis.

The presentation will discuss technical and economic feasibility analysis as well as potential economic, community, and environmental benefits the new DES could provide.
