Summary

Presentation will review and discuss an emergency condensate line replacement project at the Westlawn Building on the University of Iowa's Medical Campus. Presentation will describe existing direct-buried condensate line service, route, damage, site conditions and constraints, and the unique, cost effective solutions utilized to quickly replace the 8"" condensate line, including alternative pipe material, alternative pipe installation methods, steam trap redesign requirements, and other innovative solutions for this emergency underground piping replacement project.
