Session Abstract

The presentation will use the CNL Chalk River Site as an example of how nuclear can take a District Heating System off of GHG Emitting fuel to Green in a safe and economical manner.  The CNL site is building the first Small Modular Reactor on its site at Chalk River and is presently going through regulatory approvals. There are other District Energy plants around the world that are also looking at Small Modular Reactors as options for fuel switching , and they will be referenced as well in the presentation.
