Georgetown University and Engie – A District Energy Partnership

Session Abstract

Georgetown University have recently entered into an agreement Engie for the management of its energy infrastructure for the next 50 years. This long-term partnership is designed to support the institution's sustainability goals and improve their energy efficiency targets.

This session will include a panel presentation and discussion with Georgetown, Arup, and Engie to cover the partnership approach from all perspectives (owner, technical consultant, and concessionaire). The discussion will focus on the benefits, process, and key considerations for developing and negotiating such an arrangement, through the lens of a successfully completed project.
