Implementation of TES in an Existing District Cooling Plant

06-23-2019 15:56

JBR DCP is built to serve 60,000 TR. It has 12 chiller modules each with a capacity of 5,000 TR. However, TES was not part of the original design. Empower did a feasibility study for the implementation of TES in the existing DCP to serve upcoming developments where we studied potential benefits. Two TES tanks with a storage capacity of 35,000 TRH, equivalent to 3,500 TR, was done to reduce 6.3 MW pf Electrical Demand Load.
