The benefits of urban campus microgrids extend far beyond the immediate campus walls. These densely packed settings and stringent air quality limits pose unique design, equipment selection and construction challenges. This session will discuss a campus microgrid project in the heart of Brooklyn encompassing 85 acres, 47 buildings and more than 5 million sf. We will explore how creative design strategies, a public-private-partnership, and new regulatory frameworks combined to significantly enhance technical and financial feasibility.
