Hackensack University Medical Center, NJ’s largest Hospital, is constructing a $700 million expansion. A new CUP facility will provide thermal energy and emergency power to the entire hospital complex. The existing campus CUP and main 26 kV utility feeds are relocated to a new Energy Center, while maintaining hospital operations for the project duration. The CUP design is district energy compatible and includes provisions for integrating CHP and a Microgrid expanding to critical city assets.
