Summary

A Load Management System (LMS) provides several key supervisory and control functions for a CHP project. The LMS system functionality generally includes the following: Import/export control, High speed load shedding & priority matrix, Islanding and resynchronizing to the utility, Automatic bus transfer schemes, General display functionality, Interfacing with Plant Control Systems, and Alarm logging (Historian)By incorporating the LMS functions listed above, one can meet the challenging interconnection and operational requirements of today’s CHP projects.
