By reducing exhaust temperatures from combustion, drying, heating and other processes beyond the dew point, large amounts of energy can be recovered and utilized to offset fuel usage or increase plant capacity. Not only are costs for fuel reduced but emissions of greenhouse gases are avoided with the technology. Multiple heat source exhaust streams can be combined into a single economizer to heat make up water, process water, glycol or any other liquid. Applications include firetube, water tube and utility boilers, gas turbines, dryers, ovens, engines and any other process exhausting hot gas. Metallurgy selection and coil design are all specific for each application to maximize energy recovery and avoid low temperature corrosion issues.
