02-26-2019 11:39

Summary

This abstract reviews Chilled Water/Thermal Storage Microbiological Control Strategies and Industry Best Practices from a water treatment perspective. The presentation addresses the mechanical, operational and chemical considerations for closed loop systems that need to be reviewed for Chilled Water/Thermal Storage Microbiological Control as it relates to a total cost of operation measurement and system asset protection. To that end, the presentation will spotlight mechanical and operational considerations when designing, operating and choosing a proven and validated water treatment solutions program that include the use of chlorine dioxide. Considerations include construction design, control equipment choices, startup and on-line treatment choices, testing, corrosion monitoring as well as preventative maintenance. Energy, efficiency details and concerns will also be highlighted.
