Session Abstract

Upgrading a chilled water plant isn’t as simple as just replacing chillers.  The Posvar Chilled Water Plant at the University of Pittsburgh is the only Plant serving the campus’s lower loop.  Expected growth and the push for efficiency drove the University to upgrade - but an extended outage was not an option.  Careful planning and multiple phases of construction allow the plant to meet load during construction.
