Session Abstract

We will share hands-on experiences, best practices and potential pitfalls with regard to site supervision and contractor training during implementation of low carbon district energy systems with EN 253 pipe systems. The presentation will cover tips and tricks, learnings from NA, suggestions to QA/QC procedures, suggestions to lowering bid-costs for contractors and not least what should be expected from experienced and qualified site supervisors for successful project implementation. We will present actual case stories as well. President John Rathbone of Rathco ENG in Guelph, Canada, will co-present hands-on experiences from being site supervisor and working with contractors and welders in the field on EN253 DE implementation projects in NA
