The Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Environmental & Chemical Engineering (MHIEC) contract is for a municipal solid waste incineration plant in Shanghai, China. The plant, which is being built for Shanghai Laogang Solid Waste Utilization, will have a record-breaking capacity of 6,000 tons per day (tpd). The plant will be situated in an area adjacent to Pudong International Airport in the eastern part of Shanghai.
