Serbia's government is in talks with German development bank KfW over funding options for a project for converting up to 30 district heating plants from fossil fuels to biomass, an official of German international cooperation agency GIZ has said.
"This is a project that will include 20 to 30 heating plants in Serbia. We work on the conversion of the heating of public buildings, schools, kindergartens, and hospitals in 20 municipalities to biomass," the component leader of GIZ, Reiner Schelhas, said in a video file posted on the website of Serbian news agency Tanjug on Thursday.
